The company has four forms of mass passenger transportation: tram, trolley bus, bus and mini-bus transportation. Besides these four forms of transportation, GRAS also owns an angled elevator and cable railway to nearby mountain Trebevic. The above listed forms of transportation total 387 transportation units.

Currently, the tram transportation includes seven transportation lines. The bus transportation includes 49 lines. The trolley-bus transportation includes 4 lines. In 2002, the minibus form of transportation included 32 lines. This form of transportation is conditioned by topography. As Sarajevo is located in a basin, connection of hill sides around the city is only possible by minibuses, which can navigate the very narrow streets.

UNDP B&H works to help this Country to attract and use aid effectively. Established in 1996, this office has focused on support to national capacity, implementing a variety of activities, at the same time transferring the focus from post-war recovery to long-term development. During the period 1996-2004, UNDP B&H has mobilized nearly US$140 million in support of post-war reconstruction and revitalization, assisting the Country’s efforts to face the challenge of joining the EU. The majority of the budget was contributed by the EU, Japan, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Norway and the UK.

For the period from 2005 - 2009, UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina will be structured around support to four major areas:

- Governance - Policy support and Institutions building;
- Local governance for socio-economic development;
- Human Security – Focusing on Mine action and Small Arms and Light Weapons Reduction;

and as a new priority:

- Environment

Zeljeznice Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine (ZFBH)
Bosnia & Herzegovina Railways

ZFBH operates in the Federation of Bosnia and Hercegovina, while ZRS operates in the Republika Srpska.
Unlike ZRS, which has only one operational centre at Doboj, ZFBH operates three independant networks. Depots are at Bihac, Tuzla and Raijlovac near Sarajevo.
- ZFBH Sarajevo/Rajlovac works passenger trains along the (Doboj-) Maglaj-Sarajevo-Ploce mainline. Regional passenger services exist only south of Zawidovici.
- ZFBH Bihac : no information.
- ZFBH Tuzla : Work the 2 daily passenger trains to Brcko and Drenovzi and freight trains to and from the industries and coal mines around Tuzla. (Source: http://www.railfaneurope.net)

Email: zbh@bih.net.ba

Web site: http://www.zbh.com.ba/

ZRS - Zeljeznice Republice Srpske (Republica Srpska Railways)

The lines served by ZRS all intersect at the "hub" at Doboj. There are four radiating lines:
- Doboj-Banja Luka (110km) with extension Banja Luka-Novi Grad (102km): electrified single track line. At Novi Grad, there is a connection to both ZFBH Bihac section and Craotian railway (HZ).
- Doboj-Maglaj (23km) (-Sarajevo): electrified double track line. South of Maglaj, the line belongs to ZFBH Sarajevo section.
- Doboj-Samac (60km): electrified single track line. At Samac, there is a connection to Croatian Railways (HZ).
- Doboj-Petrovo Novo Selo (33km) (-Tuzla, 61km): diesel worked single track line. The section Petrovo Novo Selo-Tuzla (28km) belongs to ZFBH Tuzla section.

BHZJK - Bosnia & Herzegovina Railways Public Corporation

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Railways Public Corporation (BHZJK) is currently responsible for developing the two main railway corridors, representing both ZFBH and ZRS internationally and co-ordinating the two companies on operational and costing issues. It is proposed, as for many other European countries, to discharge ZFBH and ZRS of transport operations, and to tender for private or semi-private companies, to take over such services. It is also intended to transfer more managerial duties for key rail infrastructure to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Railways Public Corporation, i.e. at State level. In BiH, train/railway operations are in transition between state and private ownership.
